Noran Engineering Sets New Record in Revenues
Westminster, CA July 23, 2004 -- Noran Engineering, Inc. (NEi), a leader in developing Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) software today announced that its first two quarter earnings for 2004 were a record 187% over the same period last year. The company attributes the increase to its corporate focus on software development for customer specific FEA applications and unsurpassed customer response.
In the first two quarters of this year, Noran Engineering outstripped last year's revenue by both expanding business with existing clients and adding new key accounts.
- 60 % of business revenues came from new accounts and 40% was additional business from existing clients.
- New major accounts in Q1 & Q2 include: Northrop Grumman Ship Systems, Naval Surface Warfare Center, NextGen Aeronautics, BAE Systems, Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, NASSCO, General Atomic, Gibbs & Cox, D3 Technologies, and Volvo Trucks. .
"The first two quarter results reinforce acceptance of our Customer Driven Solutions program," said David Branch, Director of World Wide Sales. "We continue to see new business from our installed base because we can rapidly add the functionality our clients request. Competitors can take as long as two to three years, whereas we can add this functionality immediately to the next major release. For example, in mid 2003, the ability to quickly add functionality resulted in major new business opportunities within the maritime market early this year."
Noran Engineering's core FEA product, NE/Nastran, is part of Noran Engineering's complete suite of analysis software: linear and nonlinear statics, dynamics, heat transfer, fluid flow, fatigue, and optimization. This easy-to-use, versatile software handles complex structural, dynamics and heat transfer analysis problems on everything from laptops, to desktop PCs, to heavy-duty engineering workstations.
Noran Engineering's growing success is based on its philosophy of studying customers' needs and then ensuring that the software solves their particular problems. The product line is noted by users as having remarkable ease-of-use and down-to-earth pricing, with technical support that is always easy to reach and able to take care of problems.
"I've worked with NE/Nastran for 5 years. The Noran Engineering team is committed to customer satisfaction. What defines a solid investment is the quality of the product and the technical support. Noran ranks high in both," said Emerson Hevia, senior analyst, Northwest Composites. "Advice given by Noran's experienced technical support staff has always been excellent and the turnaround is superior. NE/Nastran is a user-friendly yet powerful software solution supporting all our analysis needs in the aerospace industry with efficiency and a very competitive price. I value Mr. Weinberg's (NEi's CEO) commitment to excellence and the people he has chosen to support his product. Our investment is more than software."
